If you missed the meeting, you missed a good one. Dan brought a slide presentation showing some of the Chick-fil-A Kyle Petty Ride Across America. When you see these pictures, you can get a small glimpse of our beautiful country, but you can't begin to realize how much planning goes into one of these trips. Yes, the trip is organized to raise money for Victory Junction and it does a great job of that. Serious money is raised. The trip is also about fellowship with bikers from all over the country. Many take two weeks off work and ride from east to west to the beginning point, then ride back. True bikers!
Wayne provided us with the kylepettycharityride.com web site. You can log on and see pictures from each day of riding. By the way, Wayne rode his sidecar bike with the big cow in the sidecar.
We have an invite to visit Blood N Fire on Saturday, August 20. We will leave Fayetteville CFA at 5:00 PM. David Riner will bring a message to the group.
Our own Charlie will bring a presentation to the group at the Sept. meeting (Sept. 12) if he is in town. This will be a valuable meeting for you golfers. Charlie's methods are used nationally and internationally by some of the best golfers in the world. You get free, what others pay upwards of $200.00 per hour. DON'T BRING YOUR OWN CLUBS.
Plan on leaving the Peachtree City CFA site at 4:30 PM on Saturday, Aug. 13, to ride to Hoofers Restaurant, and the Gospel Barn. Tickets for the concert are $15.00 at the door, plus your dinner. You don't have to eat at the restaurant, if you don't want to. Aaron Wilburn, The Primitive Quartet and the Easters will touch your soul with Southern Gospel Music. "Be there, or be square."
To those who brought guests, thank you. We encourage all to expose others to the Moo Cow Bikers.
Jimmy suggested the formation of a "pasture" division of the Moo Cow Bikers. Jimmy is into off road riding now, and he will head up this group. If you are interested, join up.
David brought us another good message; this one on what you give to God. Do you, like many, give Him what is left over instead the "first fruits"? I hope not.
We also have an invitation to join the Friday night group from 1st Baptist in Jonesboro for one of there meetings. More to come.
The July 2005 minutes are published on the website and can be found at http://www.moocowbikers.org.
All official MooCow merchandise is now at John's office in Peachtree City. Come by and see John or email at jcmcginn01@aol.com.
Ride Captains are reminded they are responsible for a safety brief before each scheduled group ride. Everyone should check out the website for safety information on riding in groups, hand signals, etc http://www.moocowbikers.org/handsignals.htm
