Christmas Greetings To The Herd:

Hopefully you saw Leon's write-up on the Festival of Trees Parade last Saturday. Thank you Leon.

We have kept you up to date on the size of the crowd at the monthly meetings. This month is no different in that we will once again post the size of the herd at the meeting. This was the smallest number of people present at a meeting since we began meeting at Chick fil A. We probably did not have more than 35 people in attendance. And the crowd was quiet. It was reminiscent of a bunch of cows chewing their cud's.

As promised, we had elections. The leadership team stays in place, with some very important additions to committee chairs. If you weren't there and were appointed to serve on a committee, we thank you for serving!

Charlie and Joyce Sorrels will head the Turtle Group.

Wayne Farr will head the Rabbit Group.

Jeff Pruitt will head up Membership and Website development. Eddie has volunteered to help with the Website too and has the time to do so.

Randy Adams will head up Special Fund Raising.

Gary and Laura Stewart will head up Hospitality.

Leon West will act as Road Captain and many of you will be asked to act as Ride Captains.

We will ask many more of you to help with activities. I think we need at least two herd picnics in the coming year; one in April and one in September. We desire to provide more ride opportunities in 2004. We want more dinner rides, day rides, weekend rides, overnight rides, three day rides. Use your imagination and email Leon, or me, with suggestions for rides. Also be willing to act as Ride Leader for these rides. Some have already come forward with requests for day, weekday rides. All of our membership does not have the weekends off. We need to form a Moo Cow Golf Team to play in some of the charity tournaments. This would give us exposure in a different circle of people. If you have a 1 or less handicap, let me know. Ha, this will be a gifted group. Actually, all you need is an established handicap that can be validated. The club is only limited by your lack of participation, so share your ideas with me. Jump in and offer your services.

2003 was a good year for us. We again participated in financial assistance to Blood N Fire, as well as sharing a trailer load of clothing. We shared many good times with each other; we definitely had fellowship together; we expanded our size (that would include pant size and the increase of membership within the group) and diversity; we initiated the Life Membership program, with much success; we continued our annual trip to Daytona Beach; we had great rides together; we had more people step up and lead rides (thank you much).

The plan for 2004 is to expand the herd even more, build closer family values, experience a diversity of rides with more frequency, build better financial participation through membership (if you haven't renewed your membership, remember dues and membership expire on December 31, 2003), continue to be a blessing to others, and hopefully continue to sow seeds to be reaped; that process may include a Bible Study and/or prayer time in one of the members' homes. We are blessed to have some ministers in our group, and we have many who are spirit filled teachers. This could rotate between homes and/or destinations. Oh, we can be blessed in an area such as this.

May you experience the blessing of Christmas this year by giving to others. God bless each of you, and we trust that we will see all of you, with renewed vigor and membership, next year.

The Vice Cow
