Group Riding Guidelines:

Group rides are one of the most rewarding and impressive activities we enjoy as motorcyclist.

  SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT !!

When riding as a group it is dangerous to straggle. Keep safely tight on the bike in front of you. The following are guidelines will help keep us all safe and together.

1.             First and foremost, ride your own ride.  If you are a novice group rider, let us know, you will be put toward the front of the group.  The Ride Leader will ensure the group's pace is safe for all.

2.            Be responsible for the bike behind you.  If he/she breaks down or must stop for traffic, etc., stop and wait. The Ride Leader will slow the pace of the main group to allow you to catch up. Don't rush!!

3.            Don’t leave the group without letting someone know.  Remember the person in front of you is responsible for you and will come looking for you.

4.            When we have large groups we will assign groups and limit the size to eight (8) bikes. Each group will have a Group Leader.

5.            Be on time for rides.  Your tank should be full and your bladder empty. Take advantage of the stops.  As a general rule, when we stop (usually a gas station) if you can’t go another 100 miles, fill up.

6.          A "Sweep Rider" is assigned by the Ride Leader.  If all the precautions above fail, the sweep can get a stranded/lost rider back on the track. If you are not staying closed up on the bike in front of you the sweep will wave you up or pass you. Please keep the formation in tact. If you feel uncomfortable riding in the pack let the ride leader know before the ride begins.

7.    When you start out in a position in a group, stay in that position unless you are waved up or back as the case may be. When riding as a group stay closed up, safe distance, on the bike in front of you. If you don't stay closed up other traffic will break the group formation.

Following these simple guidelines will keep our rides fun, safe, and enjoyable!
