Welcome

John McGinn, Vice President of the MooCow Bikers, opened the March 2003 meeting at 7:15 PM. Dennis gave a heartfelt blessing of the meal and the meeting begin. Thanks to the 75 who attended, John says, "it was another great gathering of the herd." John stated that "our 7:00 PM meeting appears to begin at around 6:00 PM (get there early are you don't get a seat)….what a great problem to have!"

Blood and Fire (B&F) Update

Chris Franklin brought several current family members from B&F who gave heartfelt testimony to the works being accomplished in their lives. Steve Oliver said at one time he was a member of another group, known as the Hell's Angels, who tore-up his life. Now he is trying to rebuild it life through Christ with the help of B&F.

Chris gave us an update on a new B&F endeavor to start small companies to give people a place to continue the process of rebuilding their lives through steady employment.

New Agenda Items

Frank James gave an update of the rider training that will be conducted for the group. We were unable to secure a certified teacher to present the Motorcycle Safety Foundations Advanced Rider course, but we will still have Group Rider training. The training will be announced soon via email from the Vice Cow, however, the course will teach basics of group riding, safety methods, hand signals, etc. There will be a video and booklet and then afterwards some practice of what was learned in the course. The proposed cost is $20.00 per person.

Safety Brief

No safety brief was presented.

Ride Captains are reminded they are responsible for a safety brief before each scheduled group ride. Everyone should check out the website for safety information on riding in groups, hand signals, etc. http://www.moocowbikers.org/handsignals.htm

President’s Last Word

John talked to us about the current Bible study he is reading (the Book of Genesis). Although this book of the Bible is full of many prominent characters, Abraham is the one that really stands out. Genesis is full of the promises God fulfilled for Abraham and his family. But primarily it teaches us about Abraham's faithfulness in God. Abraham always "passed the test" that God put before him, by relying on his faith in God's promises. We should likewise not be afraid to follow God's will in our life, and remember His promises through our faith.
