Welcome

 

Wayne Farr opened with Prayer.
Members present were 76.

 

Devotional

 

Jeff Pritchett began the meeting with a devotional focusing on Jesus as a leader with application to the herd. Jeff began with an overview of the Great Commandment found in Mark 12:30-31.

    Specific points included:
  • Focusing on the love God has for each of us
  • Loving our neighbor as ourselves
  • Keeping our focus on the basics
  • Understanding that Jesus is God
  • Treating others the way we would want to be treated

 

Presentations

 

Relay for Life - Emphasis was on developing a team with the Moo Cows. The event will be May 6th.

Golf Challenge - This event will occur this coming Saturday, March 19th. The event will take place at the Cotton Fields.

Cherry Blossom Festival - March 26th
Biker Sunday - April 10th
Soldiers Chapel - April 3rd

Fund Raising report given by Randy Adams
Bike Show April 2nd

Safety Report provided by Al Gaily

Wade and Steve will depart April 12th to the West Coast. John McGinn reviewed this trip with the group.

 

Blood and Fire (B&F) Update

 

Rose spoke briefly, thanking all for the support while encouraging all to continue support. As stated by Rose, giving to the poor is giving to God. A representative from Blood N Fire gave a brief presentation for Rose, since Rose was unable to speak due to a loss of voice. All men were encouraged to participate with a "Men of the City" breakfast the 3rd Saturday of each month at 7:30 am. The Justice Walk was presented regarding waking the streets of Atlanta and watching and listening. A women's program is expected to begin soon. All were encouraged to visit the web site at http://www.bloodnfire.com.
