David Riner opened with Prayer.
John McGinn provided opening comments and introduced the Head Cow, Dan Cathy.
Comments by Dan Cathy
It was "our pleasure" to have the Head Cow in attendance. Dan reviewed the continued progress of Chick-fil-a and expressed his appreciation that people were still eating chicken. Dan also reviewed the expansion of the growing company across the United States and stated that many new stores were in the works. The first one hundred customers to enter the door of the new Chick-fil-a stores receive free lunch for a year. As a result, many customers are sleeping in the parking lot the night before the grand opening in order to hold a place in the top one hundred. As a demonstration of appreciation, Dan is spending the night with the customers. Dan stated that he has slept with a lot of customers and feels that this is a great way to develop customer loyalty.
Dan further stated that the 2007 Peach Bowl would be called the Chick-fil-a Bowl. Additionally, Dan requested that we continue to pray for Blood-n-Fire.
Elections are as follows and is reported by John McGinn
We had elections last night. There are no runoffs! Randy Adams was overwhelmingly elected to serve as Vice President. Larry Hiscox was overwhelmingly elected to serve as Secretary. Wayne Farr was overwhelmingly elected to serve as Sergeant at Arms. The Head Cow job and the Treas. job stay in tact. Whew! Thank you to the newly elected honorable men who have agreed to drive the herd to new heights. Based on the election results, this group is willing to follow your lead.
Devotional: David Riner
David Riner continues to inspire the herd with his messages. The message this evening came from 1 Thessalonians 18, In every thing give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you; and was entitled, "Always be Thankful." David used the story of Joseph to point out how God uses what you thought was evil to be good from God.
Treasurer Report: Jeff Pritchett
As reported by Jeff Pritchett, the cows currently have $2,800.15 in the pot. Most of this will go to Challenged Child.
Closing
David Riner closed in prayer.
