Pine Mountain Ridge Ride

The "Ridge Ride" is a 17 mile, two lane highway, running from Pine Mountain to Manchester, following the crest of the Pine Mountain Ridge. The highway was built by the WPA and CCC under the direction of President F. D. Roosevelt in the 1930's. The highway runs through the 10,000 acre FDR State Park which is the largest State Park in Georgia. The west entrance is located just off I-185 near Callaway Gardens.
